Welcome back! Last time,
Su!
Affinity got an opportunity to take a grave to the science facility, and given the babies and how much everyone mourned Su, she was the natural choice.
I assumed everyone would be ecstatic about this.
Apparently not.
Affinity: Um, she's more.... undead than I thought she'd be.
Apparently we're picky about our resurrections.
Su's floating is unbelievably slow, so Affinity is home ages before Su arrives.
Leo: Hey, hon.
Affi: Hey, love. My mom's back from the dead, btw.
Leo: Uh, what?
Leo: I wish Su were here. But since I'm not delusional like my wife, I shall have to fix this myself.
Says the man talking to himself.
Surprisingly, considering how casual I am with my Sim's mortality, he doesn't die.
Finally, Su does indeed arrive.
Sage: Um, did I just see grandma walk through that wall?
You did! She's headed to the nursery!
Leo: Well, now that this is fixed, I'd better go tend to my child/ren. How many do I have now?
Three.
Leo: Oh, crap, the delusions are catching!
(Su ignored the babies to play on the computer I installed into the nursery for some reason)
Leo: You seriously brought my mother-in-law back from the dead?
What happened to all that weeping and mourning?
Leo: This is not okay.
Leo: If you brought her back to tend to the children, why am I doing this?
Is it so terrible to play with your daughter, Leo? I let Su do what she wants.
Zen: My tuwn!
What for?
I don't know how I keep forgetting their birthdays.
Zen rolled Supernatural fan. What a coincidence!
Because you're going to be sharing a room with your dead grandmother!
Discord is allowed to exist. For now.
Serenity also has one - I named him Trouble.
He's pretty cute, actually. I like Zen.
I've seen this walk in pictures, but it's even creepier in real time.
Despite his Supernatural fanliness, Zen refuses to share a bed with his dead grandmother, so I buy him his own.
Resurrecting Su has not gone entirely to plan. No one seems very happy with it except for Su, and Su is too happy to worry about babies.
I try to put the teddy in Serenity's inventory where it belongs, but Two'o'Pentacles has a problem with it, I guess. I can't move it because it's 'in use'.
Su finally picks up the baby and - wait, what happened to the teddy?!
Apparently vampire gnomes turn dolls into other vampire gnomes. No bear is safe :( This is Three'o'Pentacles the Dark.
I put Trouble to use guarding over Serenity so nothing else happens to her. Sage donates her own childhood bear to her little sister.
Zen rolls a wish for an Alchemy table, which... we already own? So I get him a chemistry set instead. They both make potions, so this makes complete sense.
Su: BEES! WINTER BEES! GHOST-STINGING WINTER BEES!
There's no part of this that makes sense.
I appreciate that Su can walk through walls (which I actually didn't realized until I saw her do it. Never occurred to me that ghosts wouldn't use doors), but I do wish she wouldn't take the baby through them too.
Serenity's birthday!
The entire family actually manages to gather around and cheer for once!
(Su is behind the camera)
Looks like she inherited Affinity's purple highlights. Sigh.
Genetics are the worst in this game.
I change them to brown, which is when I realize that Affinity/Serenity's hair isn't brown but a sort of weird greenish-brown.
Everyone else is eating cake, but the boys are still cheering. Odd.
These two still hate each other.
Leo: It's MY computer, young lady, I paid for it, if I want to use it, you have to get off!
Sage: You mean MOM paid for it. You don't make any money!
Leo: (I really wish she'd stop bringing that up).
There's another computer in the study, guys.
Leo: /defiantly keeps looking at camera
It's okay, Leo, Su got her back for her attitude.
Sage: PLEASE don't scare me to death, grandma! /rolls wish to befriend Leo
Su: Good girl.
Su's got it, guys.
This is far too cluttered, but those gnomes love it in here.
Picking Affinity up takes a couple hours, especially when Affi and Leo keep canceling each other out.
She does finally make it to bed - LEAVE HER ALONE TWO-OH.
Affinity: Wanna make out?
Leo: Heck no, we might have another one.
That's not how that works, Leo.
If anyone can tell me why the second chair won't push in, please do.
Ridiculous.
The happy couple does eventually make up.
Su loves doing this now.
Leo: Please note that I woohoo'd my WIFE and not her mother.
Yeah, the order of these pictures is kind of awful, isn't it?
Su: /pleased with herself
Sage is annoying me, so I send her out to build snowmen.
Sage: But I HATE being outside.
Meh. I want to see more snowmen. You're the only one available.
Leo: Haha!
Hmm...
Leo: Crap.
And the great snowman battle begins!
The consignment shop finally has a worker - and it's my not-really-simself, Lulu! That explains the terrible clothes.
I've sent Su down here, but since she walks about half a mile an hour, we've got plenty of time to see how much I messed up making this sim.
Lulu: Hey, let's not talk about that! Hi Su! Welcome!
She's not even halfway here, hon.
Lulu: Whatever. I still think I'm hot.
Good for you!
Oh look, we're still building snowmen.
The winner will be the one who builds something other than the classic snowman.
She made it!
Lulu: Hi Su! What can I do for you?
Su: ....You don't have anything I want.
Lulu: Urgh. Gross.
Hm, maybe I should pay more attention to Zen.
Zen: At least I have mad scientist hair now?
I don't know where we're getting all these brooms and top-hats.
Sage wins!
Sage: Can I please go inside now?
Nope! It's time for prom!
Sage: Are you kidding me?
Scoot, girl.
I hate winter proms. Why do they have to attend in their outerwear?
I really should pay more attention to Zen.
That's not even a thing, sweetie.
Again, Zen?
Leo: Who the heck is that?
Leo is terrible, guys.
Su finally realizes the parents aren't going to live up to being parents, and teaches Serenity her skills.
Oh, right. Prom. Let's see...
Sage was refused a dance by her crush, got into a fight, got into another fight, and lost them both.
But still prom queen somehow.
Affinity: Man, I'm hungry.
Affinity: And I'm aging!
Su: Woo!
Why does all your hair fall off every time you age?
Affinity gets rid of the purple highlights and goes for a more toned-down style now that she's a full grown adult. She also starts dying her hair, but shhh.
The brown looks creepy now. It didn't look that bad in game...
Oh, and she has a midlife crisis.
Bitch! Leo earned that computer with his hard-earned imaginary money!
Hearing sirens, our burglar heads to the basement for a more subtle way out, only to find it's a dead-end with creepy torches.
Cop: Now where is she....
Burglar: (You are the butterfly, be the butterfly. Butterflies don't get arrested).
Didn't work.
Is this the time to be noticing his rocket?
Better hurry up, Leo! You're just in time to be in the way!
Cop: Winnah!
I like the cuffing.
Burglar: I didn't even get to feel his r-
Stop that.
Um, what?
Cop: Can't believe I get to poke around in Susannah Arcana's house!
Guess he's a fan.
Cop (no eyebrows): I'm pretty happy.
Cop (eyebrows): Nope, I'm smug.
This is why people look creepy if their eyebrows don't move - their expressions aren't right.
The computer is returned!
And as a bonus, I found a snow-cone machine in the family inventory!
'Til next time!
