Welcome back to The Arcana: A Legacy! We are STILL in gen 0 because of unexpected babies, plus Knack not being heir like I thought. Last time, Affinity grew up and Artisan was born, all while Knack fished.
So what's going on this time?
Su: Birthday.

This is Mat on the phone in the kid's bathroom.

This thing is named Apprentice. He's apparently running to/from something, but I don't care.
Apprentice: You don't even let Arti play with me once.

The paparazzi is also bored, because the house still has no windows.
Mat has been learning Alchemy mostly at work, but I finally bought him a station for it.
And since we got this, it must mean we had enough money to send Affinity to Art School!

Affinity: You forget about me, don't you?

I thought these were flying books from far away. They kept freaking me out, so I had to send Su out to catch them after awhile.
Meanwhile, Knack continues taking the best care of his siblings. I don't know why Mat and Su wanted these kids if they weren't going to take care of them.
Oh, maybe Mat came to feed Arti after all?

Mat: Skipping school? You are so grounded!

Mat heads down to the festival because he has a want to do 10 Private Readings. Except the park is empty when he gets here. There were people there when I sent you!
Others do eventually show up, but it doesn't go well. He gets refused 5 times. Back to breaking into people's homes to deliver forced readings, then.
Mat. What.
Su: Hm, I never knew that.
Most of their successful marriage comes from ignoring one another.
Knack's LTW is coming along okay. We have three perfect fish here: Jululian the Jellyfish, Rusty the Goldfish, and Chevy the Anchovy.
They immediately drop into the family inventory so I don't fail to feed them.
Pounce mostly hunts. As cute is she is, I really don't like her much. She needs WAY too much attention for a cat.
Also, I don't think back-flips are a typical part of hunting?
Knack always looks so dead-pan.
Knack: Bonding done. Off to fish.
Aren't you grounded?
Knack: Meh.
Knack: Meh.
It takes a few tries, but he leaves anyway. It's just a perpetual grounding that Knack ignores at this point.
Neither of his parents are friends with him anymore :(
The social worker keeps threatening to come for Pounce because I forget she needs so much social attention. I'm tempted to let her, but I bet there's a bad moodlet for that. And I DO feel bad - she's so cute the rest of the time.
Maybe I should just get another cat?

I let them spend the day doing lovey-dovey things, and NOT having babies, because I refuse to have more.
Knack's out fishing, so the baby gets ignored.

Apparently the rain revived the plants. No one's touched them for almost a year. That is some hardy lettuce.

Knack autonomously does some homework, so I let him go to school.

He's been to school maybe 5 times his whole life.
Susannah heads to work for the first time in forever!

Since Knack is at school and Mat also has to work, we have to hire... this.

Apparently it's because his grades are so bad. Whatever. He's growing up soon.
Knack: I hate being a teen.
I know. I've been tempted to grow him up for awhile, but he's already so much older than his siblings.
Su: Can you say "Corporate Drone"?
So this is where I accidentally fall asleep and leave the game running. Thankfully, Artisan's one day birthday warning pauses things and we only lose about a day.
Apprentice: Good job, loser.
Shut up.
The cat gained Adventurous by.. hopping on a bed, I think, so now she's exploring under things.
Pounce: I'm the best explorer.
There's nothing under there. That is the cleanest under-bed I've ever seen.
Despite a moment of door-colliding worry, Knack makes it out the door and heads off to fish. He will never go to school again, since it doesn't matter.
Leisure Day!
Susannah contents to read on her own bed instead of stealing her kids'. Mat catches a nap.
There's beetles all over the house, in and out. I think the cat is dropping them.
Gross.
Pounce: Quit blaming me!
Urgh, you have fleas again.
Pounce: Heeelp meee!
Pounce: No, not him!
SIGH. Fine, Knack is out. You'll have to wait.
Pounce: No need, I can do it myself.

Pounce: What voodoo makes this run?

You still have to wait for Knack to come back, though.
Pounce: Just take me out with the trash.
We'll keep you for awhile. You are cute, at least.
I just wish her needs didn't drop so fast.
Despite the day-loss, we manage to squeeze in the rest of Arti's skills.

He does take a break to cool off in the ocean though. The water effect is weird.

Artisan becomes my second Sim to have a fully customized wardrobe. I actually had a lot of fun with him! He's insane, so we should be seeing a lot of it.
That was the only hat that didn't have hair sticking out of it. I think it's cute!
Artisan: Now to attend school in my formal wear.
