1.0 Affinity

That's right folks (alright, one folk - good enough)!  We have finally reached Generation 1!

/confetti

Ta-Dah!

Now that Affinity is an adult, it's time to graduate.  She gets a limo.

Since Affinity actually went to school and did well, Su and Mat head to watch.

They all use different doors, so maybe they don't want to be seen with each other?

Affinity graduated Valedictorian.  Like her older brother, she was voted most likely to never leave the house, which is actually pretty accurate in her case.  Although she didn't socialize much, she was Prom Queen, and retrieved one piece of candy on Spooky Day.  That candy was so tricky to get, we're saving it.

After the ceremony, the girls head home while Mat checks himself in to the hospital for delusions.

Back home, Affinity is ready to face a whole new challenge - college!  She takes the aptitude test and is unqualified for scholarships, but she does earn a few art credits.  Okay?

Don't know how that works.

Off she goes, looking very pretty!

Affinity:  Time to meet boys!

Indeed.

I'm currently in the process of upgrading my computer a bit, but until that's finished, I don't really trust going to a dorm or sorority, so Affinity gets to rent her very own home!  It's quite nice.

It has its own bar!

Just a few special touches to make it our own...

Octokitty.

And an easel.

This is a holographic easel, which I've wanted to try out since I first saw it thirty seconds before buying it.

Affinity breaks in the new lot by playing her Snowflake Day guitar (one of them).

And then hologram painting.  I like it!

Like Susannah, Affinity can dress up as the Llama if she wants to.  She doesn't want to.

Oh look - boys!

Affinity heads over to greet them straight away, since that's pretty much why I sent her here.

We meet Leonard Shelly first, and they pretty much instantly fall in love.  You can't see them, since I failed at picture taking, but they threw up hearts for each other at the intro.

They quickly become friends.

Leonard is kind of adorable in a very nerdy way.  I think he's based off of a Big Bang Theory character?  Not sure on that.  I don't actually watch it?

Affinity brought almost $40k with her to school, but still feels the need to rob the candy machine.

Successfully!

We then proceed to stalk Leonard.

We follow him around for a bit, but he seems kind of creeped out by it, so eventually we head home.

I felt the urge to show you Affinity's new shower, apparently.

Holographic paintings remain holographic even off the easel which is neat but kind of distracting.  Otherwise, it's a nice picture.

I do make an attempt at meeting some other guys, but they end up pretty much like this.  Leonard is apparently our man.

Affinity has decided, so we invite him over.

Affi:  Hi Leonard.

Affinity:  /smooch

Affi:  You want to stay over?

Leonard:  Sounds great!

Leonard is either a gentleman or misses the point, as he immediately changes into his robe and heads to the spare bed to sleep.

In the morning, he quietly plays some video games.

Does some laundry.

And admires our music box.

And then our bar.

Leo:  Mornin'.

Affi (to herself):  This isn't what I had in mind, but.. It's not bad.

I'd like a guy that does my laundry.

After breakfast (cereal for her, booze for him), they agree to go steady.

Easiest spouse hunt I've ever had.

Mission complete, Affinity snoozes her way through the rest of school.

(Psst, Affi, your plumbob is showing!)

But that's okay because her teacher stopped lecturing after 10 minutes.

Affi:  Man this chapter is boring.

I know.  Your life lacks drama or struggle of any kind.

Making friends isn't working out.

?

I actually made several everyday outfits for Affi, hoping she'd switch between them, but apparently no.

So I end up changing them randomly myself.

Again?

Alien:  This Legacy is dull.

I know, I know, shush.

Why don't you figure out why that tree is transparent?

Since he keeps showing up, I finally drag Affinity out of bed to meet him.

But he's pretty much a regular Sim.

And a couch potato.

And then he hops on a bike and off he goes.

Even aliens can't spice up this chapter.

I remember classes like this, but we weren't all facing the wall.

Affinity is super into drawing that wall, though.

Not kidding.

Class again, huh?

Affi:  Yep.

(notice the pretty shadows!)

Affi:  Wait, where was I going?

Class.

Affinity:  Mm, burrito...

CLASS.

Affinity:  Oh, right.

x.x

Affinity:  Ew.

Sigh.

PLEASE do something interesting?

Affinity:  I've got a date with Leonard!

Hooray!

Leo takes her to the movies.

Affi:  Wait, what was I doing?

SIGH.

Leo doesn't hold it against her, though.

The paparazzi also finds love.

I was going to say I don't remember anything like this on my campus, but I actually kind of do...

Affinity makes the Dean's List, and paints a picture of her thought bubble about it.

It's a masterpiece.

Portrait of Octokitty is her second masterpiece.

She gets her grades (yes, the semester is over).

Affinity:  What is this gibberish?

You went to art school, remember?  Your grades don't mean anything.

Affinity:  Then I did great!

She did.  She got an A with absolutely no extra work outside of class and sleeping through her lectures.

This ALSO reminds me of my college years...  Hm.

Look, she's painting.

This is supposed to be a portrait of herself, but it's almost all black for some reason.

At least invite Leonard over before you go.

There we go.

How many pictures of this do you need?

Welp, time to head home.  Generation One is off to a roaring start.

'Til next time!

Too-da-Lu!
