And we're back! I've actually posted these all in one night so far, but we're back if I say we are.
....anyway, Lulu here! Last time, Mat and Su were married and expecting a child! Let's see how that goes.

Su: Waiting.
We're too poor to afford the next book she needs for charisma, and I still haven't realized she gets points just for talking to people, so she awaits the birth of her baby with rocking, both with a chair and with music.
And bam, we're done.

Meet Knack Arcana, first and (spoiler alert) only son of Mat and Susannah Arcana!
Knack rolled Loner and Loves the Outdoors. He likes Rap for some reason, Shawarma, which I don't even know what that is, and the color black. He's a Pisces.
Yeah, I literally took no other pictures of that time period. But look, he went to work, she was pregnant, they both had the flu, and then a baby was born. What else do you want?
THIS was the time when I had no money left, but by selling the kitchen sink and some counters, we managed a small room with a crib in it. The butterflies are black because that's Knack's favorite color. The crib is striped with lime green - Mat's favorite, and the bedding is black (Knack) striped with gray (Susanna).
Yeah, I got it by hitting the dice, but doesn't it SOUND nicely planned?
(Oh, I remember. We sold a camera to afford the pool party. We were out of money both times! I regret this, as I wish they had a camera.)
I'm so bad at this.
Knack received a Mysterious Doll in the mail mysteriously, but I'm on to it. I've heard about these, and I didn't even play this silly game. I let him play with it a bit because it's my first time, but I was wary to start with.
I named him Lack.
Cocoon babies make for easy diaper changes.
Mat is actually a pretty good dad if I let him on free will enough, but I rarely do.
We still have no money.
Don't let the smile fool you. Su is dying without a sink to clean up these dishes. I clean them up for her with my magic hand of Thank-Goodness-They-Added-This-Feature but she's not happy with it.
Su spends another day dancing while Mat works. And with his income we are able to buy....

Su: Finally!
I couldn't bear to watch her suffer any more.
Remember when I said I had a picture of the carpool nonsense awhile back? This is it. And it is nonsense. And I still don't know how to stop it.
Time for Knack's birthday! Su wants to throw him a party, so here we are. It unfortunately flops when I'm incapable of figuring out the cake before the end of the party and Knack doesn't grow up in time.
Still, it's nice that Su can get a decent number of people here, thanks to her traits. We're not friends with most of these people, but everyone has a good time (whatever they say about it later).
Oh good. I was really worried they might have left this feature out.

And there's a cat in the house for some reason. I'm SURE I didn't invite you.
Mat: Yeah, it was ordered years ago, man. It never showed. I still have the receipt on my phone!
Su: SIGH.
Mat's still not over that pizza.
And the infant, after resting within the cocoon for days, finally emerges...
Into a beautiful butterfly toddler!
Remember parents, it's never too early for your baby's first eye exam. Those early years are crucial for detecting these problems early on, when they can still be treated easily.

What are you doing at work so late, Mat? And why is Susannah with you? You had to pay a baby sitter for this!

I did Try for Baby, but there was no lullaby. She didn't roll a wish again, so Knack will be an only child (probably, there's still time I guess), and therefore heir.
It is kind of cute at this stage, and a good social boost.
Knack: Amnomnom!
Hehe! ^.^
It is good he has a toy, too, since we can't afford any. Mommy needed a sink. And a screw.
Mat: Oh God, oh God, I got the sink dirty, we're getting a divorce, oh God.
Relaaaax, man. She enjoys cleaning it! She's already rolled a wish for it!
He's already been to the hospital three times for this.
The last time he traded Dramatic for Natural Cook, which seemed pretty good. But he had a wish to check himself in, so I let him.
Probably not the time for this, but D'awww!
Thanks to the occasional party, we pretty much never need to cook. Su rolls a want for a Feast party on Spooky day while Mat wants a Costume party. Costume sounds more fun to me, but I let Su have her way since she's the party-maker.
The Feast party gave us way more food than we can eat, but someone brought Shawarma (Knack's favorite)!
Knack: Amnomnom!
Too bad he's still too young to eat it.
He's good with the occasional finger though.
Su? Did you grow your hair? What's going on?
Su: I'm going to work!
...You have a job? o.O
She's in the political career, of course. She's just never gone before.
Well, he is a loner, so I guess being alone is good.
And he does love the outdoors, so I guess being outside is good.
Try explaining that to the social worker, though.
(Lack's trying to get him taken away!)
Mat has these little episodes sometimes. I'm not sure which trait causes it or if it's something else, though.
Mat: Grrrwarrr! I can't believe myself!
Mat: Suck it up, Mat, you can do it this time!
Mat: /fishface
