Welcome back to the Arcana: A Legacy! Last time, youngest Artisan grew into a toddler, then a child. Older Knack and his cat Pounce enjoyed Love Day with new friends, and Mat and Susannah continue to throw inappropriate wishes.
Get it out of there, because it's not happening. Three is it.
Meanwhile, THIS little traffic jam took several hours to sort out. So not a fan of the foot-tapping nonsense.
Due to irresponsible picture taking, everything is a little out of order for awhile here. I'll do my best to set up continuity at least.
Artisan continues to be adorable, and tries to take up painting, but he's not much good at it.
Artisan: You're going to ignore me now that my sister's back :(
Affinity is back?
Affi: S'up.
Remember that little girl we sent off to Boarding School? She's BACK. And she is pretty and sassy!
Thanks to her special schooling, she now has the Artistic trait and gained a few skills, including 3 points in painting, and two in photography.
She also somehow discovered an island on her way home? I can build on this.... I'm not going to for awhile, though.
I think it's a Bliss potion. Kind of lame, Mat.
Artisan: Mmm.. my favorite!
Artisan: Huh?!
Artisan: Mmm...
...I don't remember why I took those pictures. I think he's just cute ^.^
Finally, Knack comes home to bathe Pounce.
Knack and Pounce do get along, but it's not as close as I would have liked. Pounce needs so much social attention, and Knack's not usually around for it. I end up letting her socialize with whoever happens to be nearby.
FINALLY it's time for Knack to become an adult! We've both been eager for this for awhile! Look how creepily happy he is!
It's still only the family - Su never rolls wants for parties much anymore.
The parents don't really like Knack at this point, but they throw on their best creepy-happy-faces.
I really hate phones.
Knack: WHY DOES IT BURN.
Su: Cake. Want. Cake.
Knack: Aw, yeah, grew up into creepy underwear! That'll go great with my creepy smiles!
Su: CAKE TIME!
So here we are! Knack's final trait is Vegetarian.
And though he is officially a spare, I still love him, so he'll be sticking around for a bit! At least until his LTW is complete.
He's up to 8 Perfect fish by his birthday, including (if you're interested) Jululian the Jellyfish, Rusty the Goldfish, Chevy the Anchovy, Melody the Minnow, Stella the Toad, Homigen the Rainbow Trout, Reddie the Red Herring, and Batilda the Sea Bat Starfish.
I was planning on skipping it SIGH. I'm not even sure how he passed. Is this something we should be celebrating?
Knack: :]
Creepy smile is creepy.
Knack: No one came to my graduation.
You're lucky I came.
But graduate he did, even if it was just barely. That purple trophy thing is for his after school activity that I don't think he ever went to. He was voted 'Most Likely to Never Leave the House' or something, which just goes to show his classmates didn't know him very well.
While Affinity was at school, Pounce tended to sleep on her bed. She's going to have to move now.
Inept: So how 'bout you and me get together some time, eh kitten?

Affinity spends 'quality time' with her little brother. They're both quite awesome - I'm not sure which one I'd choose for heir.
Affinity spends most of her time outside of school painting, of course. I probably won't start on writing until she's done with painting.
Knack takes up Mat's habit of walking around without a shirt on, but at least he reads in his own bed, and not someone else's like his mother.
We're getting a bit more cash flowing in these days, so I splurge on the cat. I love cat towers!
This also seemed appropriate with Knack's fishing.
Speaking of, Knack heads down to city hall to become a self-employed angler! We sell off all the fish I've been inadvertently saving since he was a child, and he reaches level 5 his first day.
Oh, Arti, you're much too young (and male) to be pregnant.
I'm not sure why the toilet is those colors, but it is.
While Knack fishes, Arti plays with the cat for a bit. Artisan likes Pounce a lot and rolls wishes for her quite often. Plus the cat-hat, I think he's trying to gain favor with his big brother.
Thankfully, Arti is much better at school than Knack was (he gets to go).
Su tries to interrupt him several times with pillow fights and games, so I put her to good use.
A sight never seen in this household before!
Affinity also tries to take care of the cat's social needs, but Pounce rejects her. Trouble cat is trouble.
Artisan: I want a see-saw.
'kay.
EVERYONE had a wish for this thing, so okay.
Fulfilling this wish causes Artisan to roll up his first LTW - to become a Vocal Legend.
I have no idea where these things come from.
I looked around, but I don't see anything that lets you skill singing, so I got this laser thing instead.
First, though...
Su: Whee!
This is the creepy-beach-family, the Hans. I never see just one - it's always all four of them.
Susannah breaks in the lasers. I wish I had one of these.
Arti? What's wrong?
Artisan: There's a monster under my bed!
Don't be silly, monsters aren't re-
o.o
That is the creepiest thing I've ever seen. Go sleep in your daddy's bed, sweetie.
Good boy.
Daddy can sleep in the creepy-monster-bed.
He gets up a few minutes later though, while Affinity finishes her painting.
Whatchya doin', Arti?
...
Affinity: Faker.
YOU can sleep in the monster bed, then.
Thankfully, Mat has no problem with it.
Pounce takes Affi's.
Arti: Zzzz.... tanks... lots of tanks.... Zzz....
Su: Sigh.
Whatever, you can sleep in the monster bed next time, Su.
Everyone else is in bed before I realize I forgot Knack out fishing. I'm used to the curfew warning. ._.
The paparazzi ruins his loner-moodlet :(
Knack: Zzzz...
Go home first.
Paparazzi plays the laser thing, and this is when I click to opt out of the celebrity system. I've had enough of them. It won't take away Su and the kids' stars, but it'll stop it from spreading.
The next morning, Artisan has a wish to pick flowers, so I send him off.
Somehow, being off the lot makes him miss school? I'm not sure what happened, but he wasn't allowed to go.
So he picks more flowers.
And then heads to get an allergy shot when it turns out sticking your nose into flowers makes you sneeze.
That hard-to-see-bird bit him! >:|
Though I can't recall quite what I was doing here, Affinity is a lot of fun to follow around.
She tries the consignment shop again, but there's STILL no one working there.
Unrelated picture is unrelated.
I can't figure out how to get someone to the store, so I'm finally forced to cheat and buy her one from debug buy-mode. It still costs a bunch of money, so I figure it's not reeeally cheating, right?
Pounce: Zzzz....
Pounce: ZZZzzz....
Adorable! But unfortunately, Pounce starts causing problems. Her social mood is dropping like mad, and so is everything else after it. I can't seem to get them filled up.
I do some reading and find that this thing can help raise social, so I give it a try. It does work, but unfortunately, Pounce won't stay with it for more than a few seconds.
It's the same thing with yowling along to the radio - it does briefly raise social, but she stops immediately.
Then, every time I try to get her to do ANYTHING, she stops and goes to sit on the bed or the counter, then jumps off and complains.
I send Pounce to scratch on a neighbor's door, just trying to get her mood up again, and -
FRED!
Creepy-beach-family person tries to pet Pounce, but she's having none of it.
Pounce: Who cares, it's FRED!
Unfortunately, even Fred can't fix Pounce's problem of needing to jump on something instead of whatever I told her to do.
Fred: What does the chair have that I don't?!
After this, I'm forced to put Pounce up for adoption :( I really didn't want to, but the social worker was going to come for her anyway. I couldn't get any of her needs full.
I'm sorry, Fred :( You were awesome. Kittens would have been awesome. Despite her problems, I will really miss Pounce.
Elsewhere, Knack is making good progress with his LTW. This is Bloaty the Blowfish and Sesame the Siamese Catfish.
Three more to go!
I get a notice for Affinity to 'Put down that skull!' and realize she's on a field trip to the graveyard. Interesting choice.
She gets a pretty sweet picture from it, though.
Random picture of Su outside her work... must be her promotion to (I think) Mayor!
Now she can collect campaign donations!
We quickly set up an outing with her good friend possibly-Caroline, the rich castle-owning celebrity. She's technically also Su's boss.
That doesn't stop her from agreeing to give Su $10k for her campaign, though! That'll hold us over for a bit.
They're both flirty!
And they don't like it.
Afterward, Su wants to explore the haunted house, and - uh-oh.
Welp, there goes the class in this legacy.
We got a magic jelly bean bush thing in the mail for some reason, so Mat has a go.
Affinity's always walking around with this vaguely optimistic look on her face. I love it <3
Now he's yellow.
