Welcome back! Lulu here with another edition of The Arcana: A Legacy, this time posted on an actual different day! And I'm almost caught up with my pictures and ready to start playing again. Last time, first generation heir, Knack Arcana, was born and became a toddler! Today, let's see how he grows up.
Party Animal Susannah Arcana insists on throwing parties for her Loner son. Knack takes it well even with his negative moodlet. Sparkle time!
If only Mat and Su had heeded my warnings and taken him to the eye doctor young.
School-children are not kind about esotropia, parents. Get it checked out!
Alas, Mat was too busy checking himself into the loony bin to attend his son's birthday party :(
This surprised me and is truly terrifying. It's not that I didn't know they grew up, I guess I just didn't expect it so suddenly.
Lack proceeds to be very annoying, insist on chatting with Knack while he's in the bathroom, and just generally get in the way until I stuff him back in Knack's inventory. Knack gets a bad moodlet for losing a friend, but it's worth it.
I was a bit tired of Su spending all her free time dancing (still haven't gotten her the second charisma book), so I got her a cheap sketch book. I was sad that she doesn't stick with it very long. These are probably better with more creative points.
I don't normally like pillow-fighting because how many people actually do that? But it seems appropriate for these two! Su's just playing around at home with her son on a weekend. Nothin' wrong with that!
Knack: Hey, that last hit knocked my eyes straight! =D
Su: /whoomps!
Knack grew up on a Friday and so hasn't been to school even though he's been a child for awhile now. Naturally, his first day is a snow day.
The icy roads don't bother his inappropriate-outerwear bike riding, though, and I send him to the festival to avoid paying a baby sitter, since everyone knows it's not safe to leave kids alone at home, but out in public surrounded by strangers is totally fine.
I'm also not sure where he got the bike.
See? This is creepy. Stay away from my heir, creeper!
Hey! I said keep clear, buddy!
Stranger Danger!!
Yeah, this isn't creepy at all.
If he's got a van with 'Free Candy' written on it, don't get in!
He's down! Now poke him in the eye and run, Knack! Run!
Wow, can you believe I dedicated five pictures to this? That guy really bothered me.
Granted, I know nothing about this, but I feel like this takes skill and talent and time and other things Knack hasn't invested in this.
Maybe he just has a... knack for it. /sunglasses
Knack: Terrible.
Shuush!
Knack: Quit taking pictures of my failure!
Sorry, sweetie! ^.^
It's true - Su is done with work. I send her over to watch her son's mad skillz.
That doesn't look good.
Su: Eh, I've seen worse. You should have seen me when I was a kid on this thing!
Way to be concerned, mom.
Knack: Maybe it's time to retire.
Knack and Su have had a particular wish for awhile now, so I send them off to fulfill it. If I sent them here together, why are they taking different routes?
Su: He's got to walk up a snow bank - I've got flat ground.
Good point.
Then she has to run around the other way anyway. Whoops!
Knack: I want a kitty.
Do they look anything alike? I really can't tell. All I know is Su has blond hair and blue eyes, and Knack has black hair and green eyes.
They're not much good at it, but it's cute they wanted to do it together. I love these two <3
Knack: Whoa! Not my old snowboard injury!
You just got that today!
I thought this would be athletic, but it's just skating.
Then I look it up and notice there are like a billion hidden skills. Geez.
Susannah is a celebrity now. I'm not really sure why?
Omg, you have a child AND a husband AND you're a lowly peon in a wealthy man's campaign for power? AMAZING.
Su: My hair grows when I lose focus :|
Most of our meals are sponsored by Knack's playbake oven or leftover party food.
I added a chair! Their first family meal! =D
Knack has nutritious birthday cake.
Gross D=
Knack: I need a bath now.
Yeah.
That's not for you, Mat!
.......actually, it is. It was his wish. All of the toys are.
Knack doesn't need those toys.
Knack: BOOP. Ducky ahead! BOOP!
...is that the noise submarines make? I hope so.
That's his bathing hat.
Knack checks his bed for monsters every night. Adorable!
Knack: Urgh, I'm still sleepy.
Don't worry. It's a snow day again.
The cat was drawn by Susannah, naturally.
Yesterday, he discovered the depths of the sea. Today? SPACE.
...at least that's what it's supposed to be. Looks like a little jet fighter or something.
I love the costume chest! I wish there were more choices.
Knack: To affinity, and so on!
Something like that.
I guess crouch-hoping is like spacewalking.
Knack: BOOP!
I'm done now.
I replaced the gross broken toilet with one that will hopefully break less. So naturally Mat breaks the bath instead.
Mat and Knack spend some time before work in a snowball fight!
It doesn't make for great pictures, though.
Once again kept out of school, Knack heads back to the festival for more skating and boarding fun. There are a lot of inappropriately dressed Sims here.
Seriously people, put on some pants. At least Knack's space suit covers his ears.
After work, I send Mat to the other side of town to buy some groceries and practice his fortune telling on people. Sadly, there aren't many people around. This is the only guy I found.
I'm not sure who he's playing for.
Meanwhile, Susannah has an opportunity to meet some celebrity. If she's anything to judge by, I would imagine the celebrities in this town are pretty lame.
Whoa. Maybe not.
Sadly she can't find the front door, and I have to walk her up there.
Here we go. Nice shoes, Su.
Su: But where's the door?!
Sigh.
Managing three Sims all on their own adventures downtown is harder than I would have thought. I can handle a full house in the Sims 2, but this is much harder.
Mat tries to visit Hinni, but she's never home.
She has that kitten Knack's been wanting up for adoption. But I can't get to it :(
Su's not having much more luck. After careful searching of the house, I find the guy's wife and kids, but not the man himself. Sigh.
It's getting late, so I finally gather the family to the festival for a family photo.
Afterward, the boys head home while Su heads to the school for yet another opportunity. She's got to "help" out an election ballot so that things "run smoothly" with "no surprises." Nice.
Finally home, Knack is too exhausted from his day to even check his bed for monsters.
'Til next time,
Too-da-Lu~
